I've run into another lucky problem. Too many Etsy convos in a day and not enough time to update my shop.
I feel like I need someone, an assistant? a brand manager? a soul mate?
You see, I need someone who doesn't mind answering 10 times a day, "Do you sell crib sheets?" Someone patient and kind and willing to use exclamation points, lots of exclamation points. Of course we do!
I need someone with about 3 hours to spare a day.
Someone good at handholding. Someone who likes fabric. Someone who can build a brand, a presence, by advertising on the right blogs and putting my products into brick and mortar shops. Someone in my head. Someone I'd trust with my password. Someone who likes the same colors I do.
Sadly, I think this person is...me.
But maybe they're not? I went over this with a friend, trying to puzzle out how it would work, hiring an online assistant. Someone to answer my convos, build up my brand, find new fabrics, condense the 30+ super important messages from the day into one email that I can process. But how would it work? What would that look like? Would there be an application process?
There'd have to be an application process. Questions would be like, "Which is better, coral or pink?" and "Do we offer crib sheets?"
All I know is that I spend too many hours on this portion of my business, and it's taking away from more important things I should be doing.
More growing pains. Bless them.
What do you think I should do? Is the answer simply wake up two hours early? Has anyone done this before? Is it legal? Should I care?
Just kidding, I care. Etsy does allow this. I looked it up.
(PS, I usually skip blogging when I'm PMSing, but I'm blogging-while-PMSing right now, and I'm wearing caftan sweater and my feet are cold and I want a grilled piece of bologna, which is gross and weird, but I thought I'd share because THIS IS BLOGGING IN JANUARY.)
